Oymyakon A town located in eastern Siberia with just 462 inhabitants, and which is popularly known as 'the coldest city in the world'. Furthermore, its very name means "water that does not freeze." Just thinking about it freezes your body, and no wonder; Without going any further, the Siberian city holds the record for the lowest temperature ever recorded in a place where human beings live: a cold -71.2ºC, which no one wants (the 'real' record is held by Antarctica, with temperatures above -90ºC).
